Can you write? We’re building up our network of freelancers at West Coaster. There’s so much happening in San Diego Beer, we simply cannot be everywhere we need to be.
That’s where you come in….
How do I write for West Coaster?
Pitch us a story. Go find us something that you think the San Diego Craft Beer Community needs to hear, and then drop me a line. Be prepared to defend your pitch. While our pay isn’t lavish, it’s fair. Amount per word depends on how in depth the story is. Feel free to send us completed works (danger: see below).
Should you choose to pitch us a story or send us your finished product: please understand that we are under no obligation to print anything you send in, and we reserve the right to print whatever the hell we want.
Please don’t send us an email if you are expecting your hand to be held. We get several (very flattering) emails a week from readers who would love to write for us and have some writing background. Once freelancers, our talented Staff Writers frequently cultivate their own leads. You need to sniff us out something we can’t live without printing, and prove to us that you deserve a spot on the masthead.
Sound good? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Serious inquiries only.
