1\/18 Wednesday, 530P – ~830P – Beer Nerdz<\/a> Blind Tasting for \u00a0SDSU Alumni Association
\n<\/strong>If you haven’t checked out Beer Nerdz<\/a>, you should. For $30 you’ll get beer, food, and a chance to test your palate.\u00a0\u00a0Tonight’s SDSU edition is geared to alumni and will feature Aztec’s basketball on LCDs. 1\/18 Wednesday, 7P-11P – DrinkAbout!<\/a>
\n<\/strong>If you don’t know what this is, you should. This is HANDS DOWN the best way to experience the artery of beer and food that is 30th St. GET ON THE BUS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1\/19 Thursday, 2P – AleSmith<\/a>\u00a0Tasting Room Re-Opens
\n<\/strong>AleSmith has been plugging away\u00a0renovating\u00a0their tasting room. This Thursday, the tasting room will reopen to the public. Rejoice! They’ve been updating their Facebook with construction pictures; check out their progress here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1\/20 Friday, ~5P – Monkey Paw Brewing Dueling Casks for Firkin Friday @ Hamilton’s<\/a>
\n<\/strong>On the frontier of East Village in the latest outpost<\/a> of the Blair<\/a>\u00a0Bar<\/a>\u00a0Empire<\/a>, brewer Derek Freese is creating awesome beers as we speak. On Friday, some of his first casks will be available: 16th & F Double Dry Hopped pale ale, and Oatmeal pale ale with Chocolate.<\/p>\n

1\/21 Saturday, 11A- 12A – Every Dogfish Has its Day @ KnB Wine Cellars<\/a>
\n<\/strong>There will be some serious Dogfish Head<\/a> beer on tap \u00a0at KnB Wine Cellars<\/a>. 60, 90, and 120 minute IPAs on tap and many more. First 60 to order 60 Minute IPA get a take home Dogfish glass. More info located on their website<\/a>\u00a0(scroll down a bit to see).<\/p>\n

1\/21 Saturday, 1P-5P – \u00a0Zymurgy Beginning Brewing Workshop w\/ Yuseff Cherney @ UCSD<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Ballast Point<\/a> Brewer \/\u00a0Distiller\u00a0extraordinaire \u00a0Yuseff has been teaching the art of brewing at UCSD for years. Learn from one of the best. This class will be an effective “Brewing 101”. For more info, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1\/25 Wednesday, 5P – 12A – Blackout! @ Urge Gastropub<\/a>
\n<\/strong>My only problem with Urge<\/a>\u00a0is that I don’t live right next door. These guys put on quality events with tasty food (ex. Sculpin hot wings). This event, featuring black IPAs, imperial stouts, and more, will be no exception. “Beer as black as your soul.” Word<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1\/25 Wednesday, 6P – Beginner Brew Classes @ Home Brew Mart<\/a>
\n<\/strong>The store that launched a thousand beers. Ballast Point’s Home Brew Mart<\/a> will host an approachable $10 class introductory brewing class that’s limited to 25 people. Call 619-295-2337 to make a reservation.<\/p>\n
