{"id":24081,"date":"2020-09-08T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-09-08T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/?p=24081"},"modified":"2020-09-07T08:18:42","modified_gmt":"2020-09-07T15:18:42","slug":"carruth-cellars-celebrates-10-years-with-expansion-plans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/2020\/09\/08\/carruth-cellars-celebrates-10-years-with-expansion-plans\/","title":{"rendered":"Carruth Cellars celebrates 10 years with expansion plans"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Carruth Cellars, San Diego\u2019s largest urban winery, celebrates its\u00a0<strong>10 year anniversary this month, also\u00a0California Wine Month.<\/strong>\u00a0The award-winning producer of California-style wines was founded in 2006\u00a0(the flagship Solana Beach location opened in 2010)\u00a0by owner and head winemaker Adam Carruth, a 20+ year wine industry veteran\u00a0and San Diego native.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the last decade Carruth Cellars has grown to operate three San Diego tasting room locations\u00a0(Solana Beach, Carlsbad Village, Little Italy), plus an Oceanside production facility\u2014\u00a0bottling\u00a0a record 25,000 cases of wine in 2019.\u00a0Primarily sourcing grapes from Northern and Central California, the winery has successfully produced 15 award-winning wines as rated by the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
