ESCONDIDO, CA<\/strong>\u00a0(September 1, 2020) \u2013 Today\u00a0Stone\u00a0Brewing<\/a>, the country\u2019s 9th largest craft brewery,\u00a0announces the hire of\u00a0Maria\u00a0Stipp\u00a0to\u00a0the\u00a0position of\u00a0Stone\u00a0Brewing\u00a0CEO.\u00a0Stipp will join\u00a0Stone\u00a0beginning September 14, 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMaria has all the qualities we were looking for in a CEO,\u201d explained Steve Wagner, Stone Brewing co-founder & interim CEO. \u201cShe brings experience from a very well-respected brewery, and experience from outside the industry too. She lives up to our values and has long admired our revolutionary spirit. Most importantly, she\u2019s someone co-founder Greg Koch and I are honored and excited to work with. And the latter is a must, because we\u2019re sticking around!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stipp spent the past five years as CEO of Lagunitas Brewing Company. Previously, she was President of ecoATM, a company launched in Stone\u2019s hometown of San Diego. Before ecoATM, Stipp was Executive Vice President at Activision, where she was responsible for Call of Duty and Guitar Hero, and further in the past, Miller Brewing Company and Kelloggs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stipp\u00a0will oversee\u00a0Stone\u2019s East and West Coast brewing\u00a0production\u00a0facilities, two\u00a0Stone\u00a0Brewing World Bistro & Gardens\u00a0locations, seven\u00a0Stone\u00a0Brewing Tap Room locations and distribution to all 50 states and\u00a0more than\u00a040\u00a0countries. As CEO of\u00a0Stone\u00a0Brewing, she will lead\u00a0Stone\u00a0Distributing Co.<\/a>, which distributes more than\u00a040\u00a0brands of craft and specialty beverages throughout eight counties of northern and southern California.\u00a0She\u00a0will also hold a seat on the\u00a0Stone\u00a0Brewing Board of Directors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
