That is because Hopnonymous\u2019 goal is to produce private-label ales and lagers without taking credit. Still, owner <strong>R\u00e9my Zurita<\/strong> wants beer fans to be able to taste the fruits of head brewer <strong>Hunter Mannix<\/strong>\u2019s labor. So, this <strong>Friday at noon<\/strong>, he\u2019ll pull back the veil of anonymity to give visitors a full-scale taste at Hopnonymous\u2019 tasting room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are really excited about the opening of our\nfirst tasting room,\u201d says Zurita, whose background is in hospitality, something\nthat has proven helpful in working with client venues. \u201cKearny Mesa and the\nConvoy District are really great communities; very alive, inventive and full of\nfoodies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"652\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5345.jpg?resize=1024%2C652&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5345.jpg?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5345.jpg?resize=300%2C191&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5345.jpg?resize=768%2C489&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopnonymous\u2019 opening-day festivities will include live music by <strong>Andy Mauser<\/strong> at <strong>4 p.m.<\/strong> and food from private-label account <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.belgianbeerandwaffle.com\">Belgian Beer and Waffle<\/a><\/strong>. The latter will soon collaborate with Hopnonymous on a pastry stout in which its waffles will be added to the mash. Other collaborations are planned and have already taken place. One that had great significance was with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.southnorte.com\">SouthNorte Brewing<\/a><\/strong> head brewer <strong>Ryan Brooks<\/strong>, who Mannix worked with at Coronado Brewing. Mannix says he was considering leaving the beer industry until Brooks\u2019 adventurousness showed him just how fun brewing could be. The West Coast IPA the duo produced together was the very first brew to take place at Hopnonymous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mannix is hard at work producing more beers to fill\nHopnonymous\u2019 bevy of taps. Come opening day, the company will have an octet of\nhouse beers available.
