Now, there\u2019s an opening date for the 2,200-square-foot, indoor-outdoor space: <strong>11 a.m. on Friday, November 1<\/strong>. That\u2019s right\u2014the first day of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sdbw.sdbeer.com\">San Diego Beer Week<\/a><\/strong>. Located at <strong>1215 San Elijo Road<\/strong>, the spinoff venue will go by the name \u201cThe Sanctuary\u201d, following the name of its sister satellite tasting room in Cardiff by the Sea, \u201cThe Confessional\u201d. Jumping into the new space with both cycling-shoe-clad feet, The Lost Abbey will hold its first-ever cycling event with a route beginning and ending at The Sanctuary, on <strong>Saturday, November 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Though still early in the project cycle, iconic Carlsbad-based brewpub chain <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pizzaport.com\">Pizza Port<\/a><\/strong> (and The Lost Abbey cousin operation) is working toward opening its sixth location. That brewery-equipped producer of beer and \u2018za will be sited in the country\u2019s southwesternmost municipality, Imperial Beach, and join <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coronadobrewing.com\">Coronado Brewing<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mikehessbrewing.com\">Mike Hess Brewing<\/a><\/strong>, both of which currently operate non-brewing facilities in IB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>Last October, we reported that popular local restaurant chain <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epicwings.com\">Epic Wings<\/a><\/strong> (AKA: Wings N\u2019 Things) was working toward opening its own beer-brewing facility at an upcoming store at <strong>1054 West Valley Parkway <\/strong>in Escondido.
