In August, Miramar-based Pure Project Brewing<\/strong><\/a> debuted a satellite tasting room at the base of The Park building in Bankers Hill. Brewing industry members, beer geeks and casual fans alike flocked in to see a spin-off installation of what the company calls its \u201cminimalist yet warm\u201d nature- and sustainability-inspired design motif. The second coming of Pure Project is highly Instagram-able and appealing as a watering hole. And come next spring, it will have a sister operation with similar DNA but its own look in Carlsbad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located\nat 2825\nState Street,\nPure\nat the Village\nis located just behind popular walk-up, Handel\u2019s\nHomemade Ice Cream<\/strong><\/a>.\nIt is equipped with 2,000 square feet of interior space along with an\nopen-air, west-facing patio accessible via large roll-up doors. The\nlatter space includes high tables that will be ideal for\npeople-watching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe love North County and a growing part of our staff live in the area, so when we found the location in the heart of Carlsbad, we thought it would be a great fit for our brand,\u201d says co-owner Mat Robar. \u201cJust like the Bankers Hill location, this space will adapt to its surrounding while remaining distinctively Pure in origin and feel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nlayout and details haven\u2019t been finalized, but Robar and company\nare aiming for the space to feel like one big continuous space from\nthe interior to the patio. The outdoor area will have a large tree as\na centerpiece that should give it a \u201cbeer garden vibe.\u201d The\nexterior of the building will be black, allowing the Pure Project\nlogo to loom large for passers-by. Back inside, the flora and rustic\nmaterial that have become Pure\u2019s aesthetic hallmarks will carry the\nbrand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\naddition to serving as a public venue and retail center, Pure at the\nVillage will include manufacturing equipment. Namely, small\nfermenters (the size of which have yet to be determined) as well as\nbarrels and foudres for aging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
