The Sorrento Valley business has its roots in tradition, having opened with a line of to-style Old World ales inspired by those in founder <strong>Simon Lacey<\/strong>\u2019s native U.K. That portfolio has since expanded to include more SoCal-tuned specialties such as West Coast and Northeast-style IPAs and even a fruited blonde ale. Now, those and other New English creations will be available in cans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the weekend, New English debuted the first of its six-pack offerings: Whole Lotta Hazy IPA, Por Favor Pils, and Blueberry Blonde. They are available both in the company&#8217;s tasting room and where its beers are distributed. Other New English offerings bound for the company\u2019s new 12-ounce cans include Pure and Simple IPA, Brewer\u2019s Special Brown, and the award-winning chocolate-and-coffee-infused Zumbar Imperial Stout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cToday\nmarks the start of a new era for New English, allowing us to package our most\npopular beers in a format our fans have been asking for,\u201d says Lacey. The cans\nare adorned with a colorful X displaying each beer\u2019s name against a white\nbackdrop. Lacey says the X signifies \u201cthe success that comes at the intersection\nof a desire to learn, adapt, be bold and fearless yet remain inclusive, listen\nto many viewpoints while having a clear vision, and focus on a commitment to\nquality and customer satisfaction.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"925\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/NEB-New-Hat.jpg?resize=1024%2C925&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22586\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/NEB-New-Hat.jpg?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/NEB-New-Hat.jpg?resize=300%2C271&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/NEB-New-Hat.jpg?resize=768%2C694&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The cans also feature an updated logo, the first adjustment to the brand\u2019s centerpiece since it opened in 2007. It is representative of an overall rebrand meant to move toward a clean, modern place aesthetically.
