That operation is <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.myyardlive.com\/\">My Yard Live<\/a><\/strong>, a brewpub installed in the former Hometown Buffet at <strong>288 Rancheros Drive <\/strong>in San Marcos. Championed by a quartet of experts in the entertainment, hospitality and brewing fields (most notably <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetwaterbrew.com\/\">SweetWater Brewing<\/a><\/strong> founder <strong>Freddy Bensch<\/strong>), the project received the full blessing and support of the City of San Marcos, which helped it progress in an expeditious manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the start, My Yard Live has endeavored to be both family- and adult-friendly. This does not mean a place where those of legal drinking age need cope with the fact that children will be present. To the contrary, there is an entire patio that will be adults-only with its own set of amenities (see below), making it a venue that is a little more everything-to-everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My Yard Live\u2019s food menu can be viewed <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/menu_myl.pdf\">here<\/a><\/strong>. As reported in April, former <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.masonaleworks.com\/\">Mason Ale Works<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.portbrewing.com\/\">Port Brewing<\/a> \/ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lostabbey.com\/\">The Lost Abbey<\/a><\/strong> brewer <strong>Benjamin \u201cShaggy\u201d Blaney<\/strong> will head brewing operations. His inaugural beers will include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Flight of the Kiwis, <em>West Coast IPA with New Zealand hops<\/em><\/li><li>SD Steel Toes, <em>IPA brewed with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chulavistabrewery.com\/\">Chula Vista Brewery<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/li><li>Red Rover, <em>American Amber Ale<\/em><\/li><li>Blonde Ale <em>(the base beer plus two different fruited variants)<\/em><\/li><li>Blonde Kettle Sour with Apricots, <em>brewed with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.3punkales.com\/\">Thr3e Punk Ales Brewing<\/a><\/strong> and\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.melvinbrewing.com\/\">Melvin\nBrewing San Diego<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/li><li>Man-Cub, <em>Brown Ale<\/em> *<\/li><li>Pale Ale *<\/li><li>Belgian Dubbel *<\/li><li>Dry Irish Stout *<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>*\nindicates a beer that will be available during the first week of operation, but\nnot opening day<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According\nto co-founder <strong>Jamie Minotti<\/strong>, the\nteam was able to stay true to just about everything it set out to accomplish. \u201cFor\nus, it was less about changes and more about seeing all the components take\nshape,\u201d he says. \u201cNow, we\u2019re excited to see the community using the space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/myl_outdoor.jpg?resize=1024%2C768&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22423\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/myl_outdoor.jpg?w=1024&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/myl_outdoor.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/myl_outdoor.jpg?resize=768%2C576&amp;ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>That space will include a full indoor-outdoor bar with shaded seating and flex space, a fire pit, stand-up shuffleboard and a bocce ball court on the adult patio, and a custom-designed wooden elevated play fort and climbing elements on the family patio, plus entertainment and activities both inside and outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My\nYard Live\u2019s days and hours of operation will be <strong>11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday<\/strong>, <strong>11:40 a.m. to midnight, Fridays and\nSaturdays<\/strong>, and <strong>11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.\non Sundays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The newest entrant to North County\u2019s thriving craft brewing scene has set its debut for next Monday.
