Benchmark was forced to shut their doors on January 23 “due to a suspension of our ABC license, that was triggered by the state tax board,” the brewery announced on Facebook. Yesterday, they posted this message: “We are open today at HQ and are working on hours for the coming days and for Benchmark Brewing Company – Bay Park cheers.”<\/p>\n
In an e-mail today, co-founder Rachael Akin told WC<\/em> that, for today, Benchmark HQ is open 12 to 10 p.m. and Benchmark Bay Park is open 5 to 10 p.m. Tomorrow, Benchmark HQ will be open 12 to 8 p.m. and Benchmark Bay Park will be open 12 to 7 p.m. Beyond that is unclear, so be sure to check the company’s social media pages for updated information.<\/p>\n Deft Brewing is back after “a geyser appeared out of the blue coming from a fire sprinkler system water line under our building,” said co-founder Mo Nuspl in an e-mail newsletter. “It looked like a total disaster when the water receded later in the afternoon, leaving inches of water, mud and muck everywhere.”<\/p>\n There are still some repairs to make, and they reported a lost batch of beer, but Deft’s Bay Park tasting room is back open with new hours: Monday to Thursday 4 to 9 p.m., Friday to Saturday 12 – 9 p.m., and Sunday 12 to 8 p.m.<\/p>\n Expect new beers at such as a Munich dunkel, a Belgian dubbel, a coffee porter, an apple wheat, an experimental “hazy-ish” IPA, and a new black\/brown IPA.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" As of yesterday, both Benchmark Brewing and Deft Brewing are open again.
