In August, the company brought on former <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saintarcherbrewery.com\"><strong>Saint Archer Brewing<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0director of brewing <strong>Greg Peters <\/strong>to be its chief brewing officer. Last month, JuneShine founders <strong>Greg Serrao <\/strong>and <strong>Forrest Dein <\/strong>reunited Peters with <strong>Molly Ross<\/strong>, who will fulfill the role of director of brewery operations. Ross\u2019 most recently served as Saint Archer\u2019s cellar manager, where she and Peters worked closely on that company\u2019s Tusk and Grain line of barrel-aged beers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are actively expanding via multiple production and distribution channels, which will continually require us to further build out the JuneShine team,\u201d says Serrao, who reports product is currently distributed to more than 140 accounts throughout San Diego County. \u201cWe sought an additional brewer at the director level who had top-notch experience and ambition, and also an alignment with our company\u2019s culture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ross says she\u2019s looking forward to working with a colleague she is familiar with and expanding her experience beyond a single brewery department. At JuneShine, she\u2019ll be involved with product from conception to packaging. She\u2019s also excited about working with a plethora of interesting ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m enthused to be pairing ingredients other than fruit and spices with kombucha, such as activated charcoal, cacao nibs and hops,\u201d says Ross. \u201cInventiveness is highly encouraged and seeing an array of ingredients work well leaves the possibilities endless.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In bolstering its brewing team, North Park-based hard-kombucha operation JuneShine\u00a0tapped a familiar source.
