{"id":21077,"date":"2018-09-17T17:16:12","date_gmt":"2018-09-18T00:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/?p=21077"},"modified":"2018-09-17T17:16:12","modified_gmt":"2018-09-18T00:16:12","slug":"carlsbads-culver-adds-onsite-deli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archives.csusm.edu\/westcoastersd\/2018\/09\/17\/carlsbads-culver-adds-onsite-deli\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlsbad&#8217;s Culver adds onsite deli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fresh off celebrating two years in business in June, Carlsbad&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.culverbeer.com\/draft\">Culver Beer Company<\/a> debuted the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.culverbeer.com\/locally-toasted\">&#8220;Locally Toasted&#8221;<\/a> delicatessen in July.<\/p>\n<p>The Culver team had to secure the go-ahead from the San Diego Health Department, their property manager, and the business park&#8217;s board of directors, but the kitchen and deli are now up-and-running during regular tasting room hours. &#8220;We plan to open for lunch by the end of the year,&#8221; said company president Ben Fairweather.<\/p>\n<p>On the menu are sandwiches &#8212; &#8220;We use Boar&#8217;s Head meat and cheese and their quality really stands out&#8221; &#8212;\u00a0 shareable plates for groups, and other small bites for snacking. The &#8220;Beer Chee&#8221; that&#8217;s served with pretzel &#8220;stix&#8221; and yellow mustard utilizes the brewery&#8217;s main product: &#8220;We change it up from day to day,\u00a0but we notice our StreetWalker IPA or our Culver Irish Red work really well.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>The most popular sandwiches so far have been the Smoked Cali, Reuben, and Italian Hoagie.
