To check on the aftermath of their lively grand opening last week, we shot a quick email over to Melodee Mario, Marketing & Sales Associate @ Green Flash<\/a>.<\/p>\n

West Coaster (WC):<\/strong>\u00a0So, how many people showed up?\u00a0<\/em>
\nMelodee Mario (MM):<\/strong> Throughout the day we saw about 1,500 people<\/p>\n

WC<\/strong>: What sort of specialty brews went on throughout the day?\u00a0<\/em>
\nMM<\/strong>: Cask 30th<\/sup>\u00a0Street, Lil Freak, Silva Stout, Sugar Smack, Cuvee Trippel, Palate Wrecker<\/p>\n

WC<\/strong>: How was the crowd? Rowdy, cool, or other?\u00a0<\/em>
\nMM<\/strong>: The crowd was GREAT!\u00a0 No rowdiness, even with an hour-long wait for food from the food trucks!\u00a0 We even had the bean bag game (corn hole?) set up, so people were having a great time.<\/p>\n

WC:\u00a0<\/strong>Was there an overwhelming demographic present in the crowd? Who?<\/em>
\nMM:<\/strong> Mixed crowd, definitely beer-focused people.\u00a0 Even Mayor Sanders came to tap the inaugural cask!<\/p>\n

WC:\u00a0<\/strong>Favorite moment? Did anything crazy happen?\u00a0<\/em>
\nMM:<\/strong> Cask tapping was the best moment\u2026 it ended with a nice presentation from Mike [Hinkley] honoring Chuck [Silva] and thanking him for his inspiring brews.<\/p>\n

WC:<\/strong> Now that the Grand Opening is out of the way, what’s next for Green Flash?
\n<\/em>MM:<\/strong> Brewing, brewing, brewing!\u00a0 We launch two new states on Monday, 8\/1: Kansas & Missouri.\u00a0 Now we can focus on taking care of our current distribution network that has seen out-of-stocks for 4 \u2013 6 months. \u00a0With the bigger tanks we are able to take care of the front line beers (WCIPA, HHR, Double Stout, Imperial IPA) at a greater capacity and will have the ability to play around with more specialties and one-offs as a result.\u00a0 Things on our mind: lots of events, including GABF!<\/p>\n
