Rock Star beer fest goes digital with assist from Tap That

April 22, 2020 By Ryan Lamb

Rock Star Beer Festivals has teamed up with Oceanside beer bar Tap That to market a digital beer festival fit for current times.

The “San Diego Beer Festival – Virtual Edition” takes place this Saturday, April 25 from 7 – 9 p.m. A video link will be sent to attendees, where you can enjoy a guided beer tasting, interactive games, and band performances.

The deadline for local delivery has passed, but there’s still time to pick up the 10-pack of beer at either Tap That in Oceanside or Tavern and Bowl in Downtown.

The event gave Tap That owner Travis Esquibel an opportunity to provide some income to locals. “Between the two companies we were able to pay 10-12 person shifts throughout the day, for four days a week, helping with packaging, labeling, and loading,” he said. “All of the workers were recently let go by either our companies or other local food and beverage jobs.”

Similar Rock Star Beer Festival events are also taking place in Seattle, Portland, Long Beach, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Orange County.
