Last month, Vista-based Ebullition Brew Works opened the doors to a new full-service restaurant in Carlsbad. Described as a “tap room and gastrolounge”, it is installed in a 2,000-square-foot space (with a 500-square-foot patio) in The Square at Bressi Ranch and is equipped with 15 taps. A small but diverse menu includes a trio of “beer plates” (pretzels, zucchini fritters and house-cultured bread), a pair each of salads (tiger shrimp, roasted beet), plus sandwiches (alligator bahn mi, Calabrian hot chicken) and cherry blossom doughnuts for dessert. This is the third brewery-owned venue to open in Bressi Ranch, joining Pizza Port and Carlsbad Brewing. Ebullition Brew Works and Gastronomy is located at 2628 Gateway Road, Suite E135. It is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Next week, Culture Brewing will commemorate seven years in the beer business, but it has another reason to celebrate. The Solana Beach-based company has secured the space next door to its Encinitas tasting room. Opened in 2017, that satellite venue’s newly acquired square-footage will be dubbed the Culture Marketplace and open on weekends to feature the wares of a rotating cast of vendors. Culture Brewing’s Encinitas tasting room is located at 629 South Coast Highway.
Kearny Mesa’s Societe Brewing is in a state of flux. On the heels of releasing its first-ever cans into distribution, not only in San Diego County, but Orange and Los Angeles, it is now able to offer private-event space to interested customers. In scaling back its barrel-aging program to line up with current consumer demand, Societe’s team situated their stock of oak receptacles to create an open floor plan where rented furnishings can be moved in to accommodate meetings, parties and more. The brewery has also forged a partnership with Eco Caters to serve as a built-in food service provider to parties that rent the space. Societe Brewing is located at 8262 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard.
