Beer Briefs: Dogleg, Two Roots, Little Miss

Quick hits from the world of #SDBeer

May 7, 2019 By Brandon Hernández

North County will soon welcome a brewery that is putting together two things that go hand in hand. That operation will be called Dogleg Brewing and will match golf culture with the type of refreshing beers that regularly enhance a sunny day out on the links. That business will be located at 1347 Keystone Way in Vista, in the same building that will house Eppig Brewing’s upcoming production facility. According to the company’s website, it is on pace to debut this fall.

Last year, Nevada-based Two Roots Brewing purchased Kearny Mesa’s Helm’s Brewing. Two Roots manufactures beer that is later dealcoholized so that it may be infused with cannabis and sold as THC beer. The acquisition included the Helm’s satellite tasting room in Ocean Beach, which operated under its old moniker until recently adopting Two Roots branding. That venue is located at 4896 Newport Avenue.

In March, we reported that Little Miss Brewing was searching for a spot to house a satellite tasting room in the City of La Mesa. Ownership has since decided 5208 Jackson Drive will be its East County home away from home. Still no word on which World War II United States Allied country will be used as the basis for interior design; stay tuned.
