On May 4, 2019, the San Diego Brewers Guild is bringing fans the perfect pairing of delicious craft beer and live jams from local musicians at the annual Rhythm & Brews Craft Beer and Music Festival. This must-attend springtime event returns to Historic Vista Village for its eighth year, with tickets available now for purchase.
San Diego is home to more than 160 independent craft brewing locations, and this annual celebration allows fans and music festival-lovers alike the chance to experience all that the Capital of Craft has to offer. Announced as a $1.1 billion industry last year, the region’s award-winning breweries are definitely something fans should look forward to experiencing and tasting this May. Plus, this year’s festival features unlimited pours from more than 50 independent craft breweries from San Diego and beyond, Los Angeles, Northern California and more soon-to-be-announced.
“Rhythm & Brews is the San Diego Brewers Guild spring annual event that gives fans another reason to celebrate our craft beer community, months before the abundance of popular festivities that happen during San Diego Beer Week,” said Paige McWey Acers, executive director of the San Diego Brewers Guild. “It’s exciting to bring together so many local craft breweries, musicians, restaurants, and other organizations all in one place. I think the festival really embodies all that our organization represents when it comes to supporting and promoting local independent breweries in San Diego.”
New for this year, the San Diego Brewers Guild is proud to partner with local nonprofit, the North County Food Bank, an organization whose mission is to provide vital food assistance to individuals and families in need. Fans have the chance to support these efforts by bringing non-perishable food items directly to the festival or contributing to the interactive Virtual Food Drive on behalf of the San Diego Brewers Guild. More information is available here. Additionally, proceeds from the festival will benefit both nonprofits—San Diego Brewers Guild and North County Food Bank.
VIP ticket holders will enjoy early admission starting at noon, access to an exclusive beer garden serving rare beers from local favorites, a catered lunch from When Pigs Fly BBQ and all features of general admission passes. Those perks include sampling more than 100 craft beers, as well as enjoying local eats and live jams from 1 – 4 p.m. For more information and to purchase your tickets, visit rhythmandbrews.sdbeer.com.
