Another month, another slew of #SDBeer events as well as the debunking of the myth that 13 is an unlucky number. The proof? There’s even more going on that day of the month than the three epic (and one Eppig) events we listed. Go forth to our full events page to see everything that awaits you this month.
April 13 | Beerfest at Dive: It’ll be a different kind of “dive bar’ experience when Harrah’s Resort Southern California stocks its sprawling outdoor pool area with beers from a variety of breweries. It’ll be a pool party taken to new highs courtesy of beverages from the resort’s in-house op SR76 Beerworks and locals, including Fall Brewing, The Lost Abbey and Mason Ale Works. | Harrah’s Resort Southern California, 777 Harrah’s Rincon Way, Funner, 12 p.m.
April 13 | Dueling Anniversaries: It’s not about if you like commemorative steins from breweries specializing in hoppy ales and well-made lagers, but whether you like seaside sipping or inland imbibing. You can partake in the latter at Burning Beard Brewing’s third anniversary or opt for the former at “Fruhlingsfest,” the one-year festivities for Eppig Brewing’s waterfront biergarten. | Burning Beard Brewing, 785 Vernon Way, El Cajon, 2 p.m.; Eppig Brewing Waterfront Biergarten, 2817 Dickens Street, Point Loma, 12 p.m.
April 26 | Beer Release Party: Two Sa Diego originals—Karl Strauss Brewing and Taylor Guitars—have teamed together to create a brut IPA called ReGreen to benefit Friends of Balboa Park’s “Trees to Treasures” program. Be first to taste the beer while enjoying live music, some of which may be provided by brewmaster and guitarist, Paul Segura. | Karl Strauss Brewing, 5985 Santa Fe Street, Pacific Beach, 4 p.m.
April 27 | Mission Valley Craft Beer & Food Festival: It takes a lot of hard work, great beer and delicious food for an event to make it nine years in festival-saturated San Diego County, but teaming with reputable brewers and a talented, diverse assembly of chefs from local restaurants of all ilks has provided this decadent suds soiree a solid reputation and resultant longevity. | SDCCU Stadium, 9449 Friars Road, Mission Valley, 12 p.m.
