March 2 | Leisure Lagoon Luau: To celebrate the release of its Leisure Lagoon hazy IPA, Coronado Brewing will convert its outdoor patio into a Polynesian hootenanny complete with live music and luau-themed food. The beer will be available on draft and in six-packs, making for the means to continue the (Northeastern?) island fun back at home. | Coronado Brewing, 1205 Knoxville St., Bay Park, 11 a.m.
March 9 | Renaissance X: It’s been one of the biggest rare-beer events in North County for a decade, and Churchill’s Pub & Grille’s anniversary blowout doesn’t figure to lose any steam in its tenth year. Expect hoppy, sour, barrel-aged, wild, specialty, collaboration and otherwise amazing beers paired with decadent menu specials and Churchill’s Finest Hour imperial stout. | Churchill’s Pub & Grille, 887 W. San Marcos Blvd, San Marcos, 11 a.m.
March 9 | Best Coast Beer Fest: For the fifth year in a row, this large-scale beer fest supporting charity organization Cuck Fancer will descend on San Diego’s bay front. In doing so, it will take things to the next level, not only offering high-quality craft beer from local and out-of-state breweries, but shipping in beer from brewing companies in Baja California. | Embarcadero Marina Park South, 200 Marina Park Way, Marina District, 12 p.m.
March 22 | Bankers Hill Art & Craft Beer Festival: It’ll only be a short while before Bankers Hill gets its first brewery-owned venue (a satellite from Pure Project Brewing). For the past seven years, this event has brought an authentic taste of local craft beer to the neighborhood along with local art and an assortment of tasty bites from the area’s standout restaurants. | The Abbey on Fifth Avenue, 2825 Fifth Ave., Bankers Hill, 6 p.m.
March 30 | Citrus Walkabout: Once a month, the breweries, winery, cidery, meadery, distillery and saké producer making up the Miralani Makers District provide a coordinated sampling experience where each business offers its own take on a theme ingredient. This month, they’ll celebrate citrus fruit, and even the district’s resident salsa artisans are getting in on it! | Various Locations, Miralani Makers District, Miramar, 12 p.m.
Check out our events page now and throughout the month for even more events throughout San Diego County.
