Last week, Green Flash Brewing Co. unveiled a new look for their brand and its four core beers, West Coast IPA, Tropical DNA (hazy IPA), Soul Style IPA, and GFB Blonde Ale.
“Our new visual identity represents a dramatic shift for the Green Flash brand and reinforces its origin as one of the original San Diego craft beers,” said Green Flash Brewing Co. VP of Marketing Ben Widseth. “Regarding West Coast IPA, over the years we have been listening to our loyal drinkers who reminisced about the original recipe. So we’re excited to bring it back for them to enjoy, along with a portfolio of other fan favorites and new beer releases to come.”
The new look was illustrated by Matthew Jay Fleming as a collaboration between EBBING Branding + Design and partner creative agency Mighty Few.
In a conversation with Brewbound, Green Flash CEO Michael Taylor said he is “bullish” on the company’s plans for 2019 — projecting 20 percent growth.
Taylor told Brewbound that Green Flash and their sister brand Alpine Beer Co. brewed a combined 35,000 barrels in 2018, down from 72,254 in 2017. The brewery’s capacity is around 100,000 barrels, and Green Flash is contract brewing to fill some of those tanks.
West Coaster chronicled Green Flash’s tumultuous last few years back in May.
Green Flash’s Mira Mesa tasting room continues to host events such as yoga classes, quiz and game nights, and on Saturday, February 16 the first, free iteration of “Sunsesh Music Series” with live music, games, and food trucks.
