What do you get when you combine a rockin’ soundtrack of live music with tastes of San Diego County’s most sought after brews? The 6th annual San Diego Rhythm and Brews Music & Craft Beer Festival, the San Diego Brewers Guild’s annual must-attend event in the heart of historic Vista Village.
Presented by the San Diego Brewers Guild on Saturday, May 6th, the annual spring festival invites craft beer aficionados to experience what sets San Diego craft beer apart from the rest – its breweries and its enthusiasts. San Diego County is home to over 140 operational brew houses, with 27 more in planning. Further evidence that San Diego beer is something to take note of: last year, San Diego County breweries took home 18 medals at the renowned 2016 Great American Beer Festival – again solidifying San Diego’s reputation as the ‘Capital of Craft.’ This quantity (and quality) of local breweries provides ample opportunity for San Diego residents and visitors alike to explore a variety of craft brews to expand their palate at craft beer festivals. At North County’s most rockin’ beer festival, visitors will enjoy samples of over 100 beers from more than 50 of our county’s distinguished breweries, including taps from Karl Strauss, Bear Roots and AleSmith. Craft beer fans can also groove to live musical performances and enjoy delicious eats from local food trucks.
“The San Diego Brewers Guild strives to make craft beer accessible to the public in engaging and entertaining ways,” says Jill Davidson, San Diego Brewers Guild president. “Rhythm & Brews is always a great time for all involved and we look forward to the energy of bringing such a large number of San Diego’s amazing breweries together.”
As the San Diego Brewers Guild’s spring bookend event, Rhythm & Brews is part of its mission to promote awareness and visibility of San Diego’s growing craft beer industry and unite breweries through events. Looking ahead, make sure to mark your calendars for San Diego Beer Week 2017 happening November 3rd through 12th.
Whether you prefer stouts or IPAs (or anything and everything in between), Rhythm & Brews has a beer to please your palate. Last year, over 1,600 people joined in the festivities to celebrate the San Diego craft beer community – taking over historic downtown Vista Village for an entire afternoon.
VIP ticket holders will be admitted at 12 p.m., one hour prior to general admission at 1 p.m. Guests can enjoy their favorite craft beers, eats and tunes until 4 p.m. Visit http://www.sdrhythmandbrews.com to snag your tickets. Proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit San Diego Brewers Guild and support its pivotal role in bolstering the craft beer community via providing opportunities for its members to engage with and educate the public.
