Popularized in the Northeast over the last several years, hazy, fruity IPAs with less bitterness but big hop aroma are now sweeping across San Diego. These unfiltered, opaque beers may annoy some West Coast IPA purists, but they’re finding plenty of converts thanks to a softer, fuller mouthfeel. Ryan Reschan wrote about this topic on page 36 of the September issue.
