The well respected Michigan based Founder’s Brewing Co. recently started distributing in San Diego. We’re starting to see their tasty beers populate bottleshop shelves and tap handles; one of the first tappings of the venerated Kentucky Breakfast Stout will take place tomorrow at Slater’s 50/50 Liberty Station.
The robust barrel-aged stout is a favorite of beer traders and bottlesharers, but finding it on tap, outside of specialty festivals, has been tough. Slater’s is one of the first to tap the beer, and will be offering a flight of Founder’s beers with All Day IPA, Centennial IPA, Backwoods Bastard and Kentucky Breakfast Stout. In addition, another flight of quality Karl Strauss beers will be available and includes Red Trolley, Aurora Hoppyalis, Jack of Tarts and barrel-aged Peanut Cup Porter.
$4 of each $13 flight will go towards the cancer-fighting Sons of Charity. Each flight will have 5 oz. pours.
A special offer for West Coaster readers: mention this post and get a gift card good for a free meal on your next Slater’s visit!
