Tonight is officially the third anniversary of Ciro’s Pizzeria & Beerhouse in Pacific Beach. The last three nights have seen a food pairing dinner featuring Bourbon County Brand Stout, a Dogfish Head tap takeover (with 120 Minute IPA & World Wide Stout), and trivia night hosted by The Lost Abbey last night. Tonight starting at 6 p.m., several Stone beers will be paired with chocolates from local chocolatier So Rich Chocolates.
Tomorrow is trivia night hosted by Firestone Walker, with beers on tap including last year’s versions of Double DBA, Velvet Merkin, and Sucaba. As a special addition, Winter Wookey will also be served, alongside some of the brand’s core lineup. Friday is a meet-the-brewer night featuring Karl Strauss Brewmaster Paul Segura. On tap will be the 25th Anniversary Doppelbock, plus Baltic Porter, Mosaic Wheat, Tower 20, and Vanilla Bean Bourbon Barrel-Aged Wreck Alley Imperial Stout.
On Saturday, AleSmith is in the house with a meet-the-brewer event. Bill Batten will be on hand with Vietnamese Speedway Stout and Barrel-Aged Wee Heavy, along with some core brands. Sunday finishes the birthday week with a “beaver brunch” by Belching Beaver with peanut butter milk stout pancakes being served. The kitchen is also baking a ham in the company’s Me So Honey.
