Mad Lab Moving to New Facility

June 27, 2013 By Ryan Lamb

sultry-venusMad Lab Craft Brewing, which opened to the public July 12, 2012, will be closing its tasting room and moving to a larger facility in Otay Mesa. That space will only be used for production, and will not feature a tasting room. According to a post by Craft Beer Tasters, owners Mike and Daphne McFarland will soon be brewing on a two-barrel system.

The original location at 6120 Business Center CT Building F Suite 700 will serve beer for the last time tomorrow from noon – 10 p.m. Coincidentally, Friday is also Mike’s birthday.

Mad Lab currently lists five beers on their website:

  • Rebel IPA: 7.3% ABV IPA | 60 IBU
  • Anne Bonny: 7.2% ABV Porter | 27.5 IBU
  • IB Blonde: 6.5% ABV Blonde Ale | 15.6 IBU
  • Sultry Venus: 6.9% ABV Abbey Ale | 22.2 IBU
  • Red Light District: 7.8% ABV Hard Scottish Red Ale | 21 IBU
