How many locations have your art hanging?
I have SD Beer Matrix prints hanging up in 14 locations, which includes a brewery in Nor Cal and a liquor store in New Jersey…so in essence, that qualifies Craft Beerd having gone from coast to coast!
How many shirts and prints do you send out a week?
For the month of May, I pushed out 40 units a week (shirts & posters) which is the equivalent of 220% growth in sales over April. Sales have come directly from my main shop www.CraftBeerd.com, word of mouth and me roaming breweries and beer bars with a backpack full of shirts. It’s definitely a great start and I really appreciate the support from the beer community, near and far.
How’s the response been since the Night & Day article?
People are starting to recognize and associate the brand of Craft Beerd with fun beer art. It has also definitely been humbling with people “recognizing” my Beerd more and requesting to take photos.
What’s next?
My mind is always brewing with new ways to extend the Craft Beerd brand with new designs…those are coming, that I can assure you. I’ve already hinted at some new releases on social media. I will also be participating in more events with a Craft Beerd booth such as the NKOTB2 and an art show at Stumblefoot in June.
There is one particular “secret” project I am working on which will combine the art & design of Craft Beerd with providing awareness to all the breweries San Diego has to offer…something I will be looking for sponsors/partnerships on…more on that soon!
What styles of beers do SD brewers make well, besides the hoppy ones?
Mmm, beer. I would say Stouts & Browns. I’m a huge fan of a Brown that has that balance of roast and malty sweetness with a healthy mouthfeel to it. San Diego has some beery creations outside of the Hoppy monsters for sure 🙂 Is it Beer 30 yet?
