Coming in February: Port Brewing Board Meeting

January 3, 2013 By WC Staff

board-meeting-brown-labelBrewed with liberal additions of coffee from local roasters Ryan Brothers (whose coffee is also used in AleSmith Speedway Stout) and cocoa nibs from San Francisco’s TCHO, Port Brewing’s new year-round release, Board Meeting Brown Ale, is an 8.5% ABV imperial brown ale that comes out next month in 22 ounce bottles and on draft throughout the brewery’s distribution network.

Board Meeting will join core ales Mongo Double IPA, Old Viscosity, Shark Attack and Wipeout IPA. It is the first addition to the year-round line-up since Mongo jumped onboard in early 2010. Interestingly, the San Marcos-based brewery had never produced a brown ale before, despite the wide variety of specialties and seasonals available to consumers.
