One year ago today, Mayor Jerry Sanders proclaimed June 15, 2011 “White Labs Day” in San Diego County, cutting the ribbon on the yeast and fermentation supplier’s new Mira Mesa location the day before the National Homebrewers Conference started.
This afternoon, the Mayor will be back at White Labs to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the special day by cutting the ribbon for the on-site tasting room, which has been in soft opening mode for a few months now. 32 beers will be on tap, along with 3 casks and 3 food trucks (preparing food with White Labs beer). The festivities begin at 3p.m., with the official ribbon cutting ceremonies at 4p.m. White Labs is located at 9495 Candida Street off the 15 Freeway at Miramar Road.
