Karl Strauss will be hosting Brewfestivus: a Craft Beer and Ugly Sweater Party for the Rest of Us on Friday, December 9th. This event will take place at their main brewery in Pacific Beach from 6-9 p.m. For this occasion, Karl Strauss will be celebrating the release of Brewed Awakening: Behind the Beers and Brewers Leading the World’s Craft Brewing Revolution, a book by Josh Bernstein.
During Brewfestivus, guests will be able to enjoy a beer line-up with seasonal brews like Two Tortugas Holiday Quadruple Ale, Off the Rails, Balboa’s Barleywine, Russian Imperial Stout and Fullsuit Belgian Brown Ale. Entry to this book release celebration is $20. This price includes five 5oz tasters, a meal ticket for a gourmet food truck and a Two Tortugas pubcake sample.
Bernstein will be attending the event to meet with San Diego’s craft beer fans and sign copies of his book, Brewed Awakening. “For a hop head and die-hard beer lover such as myself, venturing to San Diego is a bit like a kid visiting Disneyland.” If you don’t own Brewed Awakening, copies will be available at the event for an additional cost.
Be sure to have your ugly Christmas sweater ready, if you plan on attending this event. The guest with the ugliest sweater will win a bottle of the GABF award-winning Two Tortugas Belgian Quad and an autographed copy of Brewed Awakening.
