We sent an email over to David Meadows, future brewer of El Cajon Brewing Co. Here’s the exchange.
WC: Do you have an opening date? How are things going?
Dave M.: Things are rolling along pretty fast now for us down in EC. Still, we have to deal with the city and things get done a bit slower than we would like.But, with that said, we are very close now and the restaurant is taking shape. I am about 2 – 3 weeks away from brewing the first batch, if I dont run into any snags, which I don’t foresee so……keep your fingers crossed that we can launch this July.
We still have the plastic up on the windows. We don’t like people looking through the windows and it keeps the element of surprise intact….it will all happen really soon, the signage is going up on the building, the brewery is being installed, the kitchen and all of the hiring and training is happening SOON.
So it seems that perhaps EJBC will open in July. We’ll keep you posted.
