Beer bar/restaurant/bottle shop KnB Wine Cellars off the 8 in Del Cerro is holding their 3-Year Anniversary Party this weekend, with 3 days of epic events.
Thursday
At 7pm KnB looks to re-answer the age-old question: for pairing with food, what’s better – beer, or wine? (I know. That’s easy, right?) That said, KnB’s resident sommelier Kat Nelson will be looking to pull off the upset against the Gentlemen of Draft & Bottle, Adam Parker and Matt Pierce. The beer & wines themselves have not yet been decided, but you can trust us that they will be amazing. As for the culinary side of proceedings, the famed Larry Abrams of Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club (formerly of Thee Bungalow and Bar West, to name a few) will be the Chef de Cuisine.
Cost: $100 for all 5 beers, all 5 wines, all 5 courses, tax & gratuity). If you say you read about this dinner on West Coaster, you’ll get $15 off. Call 619-286-0321 to make your reservation.
Here’s the menu just sent over by KnB:
First Course
White Truffle and Lobster Tagliatelle
Second Course
Seared Foie Gras with White Peach Compote, Scallop Carpaccio, Boysenberry Gastrique
Third Course
Sous Vide Veal Short Rib, Braised Artichoke, Pee Wee Potatoes, Au Jus
Fourth Course
BBQ Colorado Lamb Coulette, Chino Farms Corn Pudding, Heirloom Tomato Salad, Balsamic Reduction
Dessert
Bing Cherry Strudel, Hazelnut Brittle
Friday
KnB’s birthday beer gets tapped! Vista brewery Iron Fist teamed up with KnB to create “Uprising” – a beer once described as a belgian trippel double IPA. You’ll have to show up on Friday to decide for yourself what it is.
Saturday
The culminating event: rare beer & wine garden! Session A is all filled up, but Session B is still wide open – $25 gets you 10 beer & wine tasters. Another $10 gets you unlimited BBQ! Tickets available for purchase at KnB now, or at the door Saturday. KnB’s team will be pulling out all the stops for this event, with some of the rarest beer and wine EVER.
