Friday 6/3
4P – Fogg-a-Palooza @ Phileas Foggs. On Friday, Phileas Foggs will host Kris Ketcham, Cellar Supervisor and Brewer from Stone Brewing Co., who will bring something on cask from Stone. Live music in the form of Latin Jazz. More info on the event Facebook.
5P – Hamilton’s will host Grand Teton Brewing Company’s Sweet Grass APA on cask for Firkin Friday. Also on tap will be 8 different Grand Teton drafts including, Barrel Aged Belgian Quadrupel and Tail Waggin, as well as Who’s Brett Dark Sour.
630P – The House of Blues is putting on Local Brews Local Grooves. A $5 ticket gets you access to lots of live music and local beer by Ballast Point, New English, Manzanita, and Green Flash.

11A – 3P – Progressive Cask @ BLAH. $2 beers from the cask 11A-2P, then $3 beers until 3PM. Cask is AleSmith IPA.
Saturday 6/4
12P – 4P – Beaumont’s Eatery in La Jolla will be hosting their Spring Beer Thing. Six local beers will be paired with street tacos, bratwursts, and BBQ a la carte. $2 4oz tastings, and $4 for 10oz pours. There will be live music, too. Located at 5662 La Jolla Blvd in La Jolla.
12P- SOLD OUT Turista Libre Tijuana Craft Beer Tour. WC Staff Writer Jeff Hammett will team up with Turista Libre and host a tour of the Tijuana craft beer scene. Breweries included in the tour will be Cerveceria Tijuana, Cerveceria Insurgente, and Cerveceria Zesde.
130P – Hamilton’s Mystery Bus will depart for a 2 hour cruise at 330P. Signups at the bar, and passage on this voyage is first come first serve (hence the starting time). There are no more details, but wherever the bus ends up there’s probably going to be beer. It’s stuff like this that makes Hamilton’s awesome.
4P – Fogg-a-Palooza @ Phileas Foggs. On Saturday, Phileas Foggs will host Paul Segura, Brewmaster for Karl Strauss @ 5P. There will be live music of some sort, TBA. More info on the event Facebook.
4P – Beernerdz San Diego IPA Tasting Challenge @ The Beer Company. For $32 dollars, you’ll get eight 4oz pours of San Diegan IPA, a scorecard for marking which beer is what, a taster glass, and some delicious Beer Company food. This is a blind tasting which will allow you to test your palate. We’ll be attending this one to check it out. Limited tickets available leading up to event. 6P – The 2nd Annual Taste of San Diego Microbrews will be held in Balboa Park’s San Diego History Center beginning at 6P and lasting until 10P. Capped at 250 people, this event will host drinkable history (beer) from Rock Bottom, Ballast Point, AleSmith, Port, Lost Abbey, Karl Strauss, and Stone. There’s a a VIP and regular session. There will be a special beer brewed for the event by Marty Mendiola of La Jolla’s Rock Bottom and Colby Chandler of Ballast Point. There will also be food provided by Urge Gastropub, La Jolla Brew House, Rock Bottom, Karl Strauss and more. Finally, there will be a raffle with cool items like VIP Box Padres tickets. Sunday 6/5
12P – Stone will be hosting a 9 course dinner prepared by 9 local chefs and paired with 18 beers. Tickets are $55. More info and tickets can be found here.

Tuesday 6/7
7P – Twenty/20, which is located at the Sheraton in Carlsbad, will host Oceanside Ale Works in their weekly Summer beer and food pairing series Brewsday Tuesday. According to their website: “Educate your palate with hand-crafted beers of the world and delicious brew-inspired menu items.” Sounds good to us! For more info, click here.
7P – Tap That Cask @ The Tipsy Crow is now a weekly event! Beginning in June, every Tuesday Tipsy Crow will host a cask from a local brewery. This Tuesday’s cask will be Stone Brewing Co.’s Double Dry Hopped Ruination w/ Simco and Amarillo hops.
PAST EVENTS
Wednesday 6/1
1030A – Green Flash will be holding their formal Grand Opening ceremony at the new Mira Mesa location. Special guests include Mayor Jerry Sanders (who will declare June to be Craft Beer Month in San Diego), Ballast Point’s Colby Chandler, White Lab’s Lisa White, and San Diego Brewer’s Guild President Adam Carbonell. The tasting room will be open for business @ 3PM – 9PM at 6550 Mira Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92121
5P – Sea Rocket Bistro will be celebrating their 3rd year in business on 30th street in North Park. The party will cost $15, which will get you access to whatever food their chef prepares that night in hors d’oeuvres format. All craft beer will be $3 all night long. There will also be music. 8P – TapRoom’s L.A.B. (Local Art & Beer). Every first Wednesday of the month, Pacific Beach’s TapRoom hosts local artists with local breweries. No word on who is going to be hosted tonight, but there will be an AleSmith IPA cask that gets tapped at 4P and may still be on when the event starts at 8P. Also, TapRoom now offers $2.50 6oz tasters of any of their 44 taps.
830P – Stone Late Night Movies Kickoff w/ The Big Lebowski. Stone’s bringing out their movie screen and dropping it in the World Gardens every week over the summer. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets (Escondido is COLD at night), and Stone will provide beer, food, and movies. More info, here.

Thursday 6/2
4P – Fogg-a-Palooza @ Phileas Foggs. Poway’s Phileas Foggs is throwing a multi-day bash from June 2 to June 5. On Thursday night, James Murrey from Ballast Point will be on hand and will also bring a cask of some sort. There will be live music in the form of a Jimmy Buffet tribute soloist 7-10P. There will also be a fearsome lineup of kegs, but it’s unclear in what order they’ll be thrown on. More info on the event Facebook.
