UPDATE 5/10: Direct from the source: Lisa Hinkley, Green Flash VP and Co-Founder, reports that the brewery’s Vista location will shut down permanently in July once production is up and running at the Mira Mesa location. The Vista tasting room will still close May 31st.
Green Flash Brewing Co. sent out a press release announcing their upcoming maneuvers into Mira Mesa. We reported on this in December, when Mike Hinkley, CEO, invited us for a peek at the vast new location. We’re impressed to say the least that they’re opening on schedule.
On June 1st, Green Flash will open the doors of it’s 45,000 sq. ft. capacity brewery on 6550 Mira Mesa Blvd. The press release states the brewery will produce 45,000 barrels annually, with the ability to produce 100,000 barrels per year. There will also be a 4,000 sq. ft. tasting room that will be located next to the bottling line. The Vista location will close its doors on May 29th, and there will be a closing party from 12-4pm that day. For a look at the full press release, click here. (.doc format)
