We recently expanded our distribution. Here’s some cool stuff we found out in the trenches of San Diego Beer that I think you’ll like.
Olive Tree Market Tasting Room
Tiny, but very impressive tasting room emphasizing hard to finds and the frequent, attached Beer club. Great rating system/grouping (light to dark), 3 glass tasters with generous pours and all usually under $10. Tasting room menu changes all the time. Don’t forget there’s a killer bottle selection in the market itself. The beer club is open to all, but we haven’t been to one yet. (We’re working on it, though.) Pedestrian, relaxed neighborhood discovers local craft beer? (Newport Pizza, Pizza Port O.B., & the Pacific ocean all steps away) I’ve fallen in love with Ocean Beach all over again. Make sure to get there early because the place is TINY. Open Thursday – Saturday@ 4PM. More info right here.
These guys have been open for a while in South North Park (SnoPa?). The name says it all. Located just east off 30th and right next to the Burlingame neighborhood. February’s Off 30th, my monthly Beer column I just started writing for North Park News, will cover these guys more in depth; let’s just say these guys are growing on me. Got plants? Love making beer? Look no further. We love the murals in the back space that begs for a Craft Beer event. (We’re working on that, too. )
I don’t know about you guys but I just found the last pint glass I’m ever going to need. All the pieces are in place for our party Friday. We just need you to help us with our pint glass infestation. (Best infestation ever.) Be sure to come to our party this Friday 6PM @ South Park Abbey to get one of these.
Look at our calendar for San Diego Beer stuff to do!
We’ve been working hard on the calendar. Got an event? Send it in!
