Update 7pm: We met with owner Bruce Nguyen, an SDSU grad and Scripps Ranch resident, to discuss the new venture. “We got swamped this morning at 11am, with a line going out the door,” stated Nguyen. “I wanted to open a place where people could just come and hang out.” After two soft openings this past weekend, Bruski will now be a great beercentric addition to the area.
Continuing the boomtown theme that’s taken hold of San Diego Beer, the newest beer-centric restaurant the Bruski House will be having it’s Grand Opening today. I called owner Bruce Nguyen and asked him why he chose Scripps Ranch for his venture. “We’re longtime residents who wanted to create a comfortable place to hang out.” As for the draft selection, “supporting local beer is a no-brainer. We are right around the corner from many world class breweries.” Indeed, while the Miramar / Scripps Ranch area is heavily saturated with breweries, there’s few places with food + local taps.
The Bruski House website does a great job of providing the menu, bottle list, and draft selection. Check on this post later for more info & pictures that we’ll upload after we check Bruski out.
