CSUSM Student Newspaper: The First 25 Years (1990-2015) is the first digital project for the Archives and one of many projects we have planned to make our holdings more accessible.

The CSUSM Collection at California Light and Sound (link is external) offers a selection of events held during our early existence as San Diego State University-North County as well as the CSUSM Arts & Lectures program. The events range from Native American storytelling to lectures and musical performances. A notable supplement to this group is a videorecording of a day-long hearing on Border Issues held in San Diego February 5, 1993 with California Senator William Craven, Chair.

The Paul Ecke Ranch Collection consists primarily of the business and administrative records of The Paul Ecke Ranch, Inc., from its origin in the early 1900s to its eventual sale to the Dutch-based Agribio Group in 2012. The Ecke Ranch was a privately-owned horticulture company that specialized in the development of new varieties of floral products and the production of floral cuttings for sale to growers of finished products. At one point, the Ranch was the world's largest supplier of poinsettia genetics. Spanning over 650 cubic ft., the bulk of the records in the collection document the operations, sales, strategic planning, correspondence and marketing efforts of the business from 1923 (when the business moved from Los Angeles to Encinitas, CA) to 2012 and cover business operations across the United States, as well as in Europe, Asia and South America. In addition, the collection includes family papers, photographs, various media formats and artifacts. As of August 2017, the Ecke collection is being processed, arranged and described. A detailed finding aid and select digital files will be made accessible to the public once processing has been completed. Researchers can get in touch with the Processing Archivist (link sends e-mail) for more information.
